Silk & Sugar Co.
Inspired by Sam’s poetry and Celly’s sweet creations. Building community, one mic at a time.

🌙 MOONLIGHT REVERIE
This event was to honor the trials and tribulations of 2025. The year began with the CA wildfires, then ICE raids broke out all over the US, and are still terrorizing communities as I type this in 2026. We had an art installation inspired by @immigorg called, "Empty Chairs."
This installation symbolized the heaviness of the absence of loved ones from the kitchen table.

DV AWARENESS BRUNCH 💜
We were invited by ImmigoLA to host a brunch dedicated to domestic violence survivors. We heard their stories and bonded over brunch. It was a day full of tears and strength. Immigo LA hosts them every year, so please reach out if you or someone you know is ready to share their story.

🪷 AURA UNPLUGGED
We collaborated with @willowsantamonica to host their first poetry open mic, featuring returning favorites and amazing new voices 🤍
Big thanks to @tidytreehouse for curating signature candles for S&S Co. Check them out in the "Shop" tab.

REFLECTIONS OF YOU 🪞
Fundraiser for Immigration Justice
We raised $1,000 for organizations supporting immigrant rights and families affected by ICE raids (@immigorg , @kgalongbeach, & private individuals).
Thank you to @dfla.shop, our performers, vendors, poets, and all who helped make this event possible 🤍

🌐 THE ART OF CONNECTION
Thank you for celebrating our 1-year anniversary with us 🥂💫
We’re still feeling the love from all your encouraging messages and the connections made in our sacred space.
This event was all about The Art of Connection — through friendship, music, poetry, and art.
Our hearts are full seeing everyone come together, old friends and new alike 🫶🏽

HALLOWEEN HANGOUT 🕯️
Guests traveled from near and far to enjoy mimosas, sweets from @cellys_sweets & @bebsbakery, a fun cookie decorating session, and a costume contest with a cash prize!
We loved seeing everyone connect, and our speakers proudly took home shirts and totes celebrating their courage: “I conquered my fear of public speaking with Celly & Sam.”
